Choosing the right suitcase
The right piece of luggage can make a world of a difference when traveling. There are so many things to consider when packing for your next vacation. How long you’ll be gone and how far away from home you’ll be will affect the size and type of material your luggage should be made of. Will you need multiple pieces of luggage? Will you be carrying on or checking your bag? With so many options available, it might be tempting to grab the first bag you see but before you do so you should ask yourself a few important questions.
What size suitcase do you really need?
Size matters. If your planning on taking a short trip, opting for a carry-on will make your trip that much easier. No waiting by the baggage claim makes grabbing a shuttle and getting on to your destination much faster. If you’re traveling aboard or planning on living out of your suitcase for some period of time, a larger bag or multiple bags is your best option. Nuki Cases come in 3 convenient sizes (20”, 24”, 28”) so you’ll be covered regardless of which size suitcase you need for your trip.
How durable do you need bag to be?
Durability Matters. Typically, luggage comes in either a hard case or soft casing material. Soft cases are likely to run at a lower price point but buyer beware it might be worth those few extra dollars to go with a hard case. With a hard-shell suitcase, you won’t have to worry about your belongings becoming damaged or the possibility of the fabric ripping on your luggage and losing your belongings altogether. Nuki Cases are all made with ABS and 2 layers of Polycarbonate so you won’t ever have to worry about your valuables getting damaged. Even your carry-on items will be safely protected inside the hard-shell casing, giving you piece of mind that your belongings will arrive at your destination and back intact.
How easy is it to haul your bag around?
Mobility matters. Typically, you’re doing a lot of walking around in the airport so you want a suitcase that isn’t going to break your back no matter how much you’ve packed. Backpacks and over the shoulder slings can weigh you down and become uncomfortable, especially over prolonged periods of time so opting for a suitcase with wheels might be the most comfortable option when traveling. Nuki Cases all come with 4 multi-directional spinner wheels so you won’t have to worry about getting your bag stuck in a jam or about the weight of your bag. These wheels come standard on each of the 3 different sizes which makes hauling around your carry-on a breeze too.
